- Bachelor's degree in sports management, physical education, athletic coaching, recreation or another related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Five years successful experience working in a collegiate athletic program (preferably at the NAIA level), preferred.
- Ability to serve as a strong Christian role model/mentor for student athletes and actively contribute to the spiritual development of athletes.
- Must possess strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and interpersonal, in the performance of job duties.
- Ability to timely and efficiently complete tasks that have set deadlines.
- Understanding of how to develop a competitive sports program with knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must have and maintain a valid California driver's license and be able and willing to travel frequently, including overnight trips.
- Must have and maintain certification of First Aid and CPR.
- General proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Access, etc.).
- Self-starter, highly motivated and well-organized.

The Assistant to the Athletic Director for Travel and Intramurals is responsible for administrative duties within the athletic department, including, but not limited to: athletic team travel planning and organization, , assist with billing and invoice processing, summer camps coordination, assist with home game management, director of year-round intermural programs, and other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director. This position requires frequent travel.
