This is a full-time non-tenure track position within the Division of Education and Leadership at Governors State University.The University Lecturer will collaborate with faculty to supervise candidates in the Elementary Education program in their clinical experiences in elementary and middle schools within an approximate 40-mile radius of the University.
Essential Responsibilities: Serve as a supervisor to observe and evaluate candidates and student teachers in the field which involves traveling to various elementary and middle schools.Observe and evaluate candidates and student teachers in their clinical placements including informal formal observations of candidate lessons.Provide effective individualized feedback to assist candidates students students teaching instruction interactions with children.Monitor progress.Guide candidates through clinical requirements.Complete record enter data into appropriate platforms for evaluation forms.
