Our client located in Nashville, TN is seeking an AP Clerk to join their team

The AP Clerk position is a direct hire opportunity, with an onsite schedule


Responsibilities:

• Responsible for full-cycle accounts payable duties
• Work closely with project accountants and subcontractors to stay in compliance with contract and payment terms

Add and release hold coded to A/P transactions in Viewpoint

• Perform cash management functions including cash receipts, deposits, collections and postings.
• Handle all cash disbursements - cutting all checks, recording ACH, recording auto-pay transactions
• Set up new vendors.
• Manage credit card program, including posting expense reports, following up with employees on deadlines and timely coding of expenses, importing transactions from expense report software to Viewpoint, reconciling credit card statement, etc.
• Work closely with project management on the release of subcontractor retainage.
• Manage one-off Hand Pay invoices including receiving mail, distributing for coding, input into accounting system and cutting checks.
• Coordinate with Assistant Controller to reconcile monthly bank statements including sweep accounts using cash management.
• General ledger journal entries.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years construction accounting experience preferred
• A thorough knowledge of general accounting standards
• Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Vista Viewpoint, Procore software or equivalent experience desired
• A passion for excellence in customer service
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
