LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a 3rd Shift Quality Control Supervisor to join their team in Elgin, IL. The Quality Control Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing quality control activities during the overnight shift, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and facilitating communication between quality and production teams. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control, including managing USDA audits with previous experience in a refrigerated food manufacturing setting. 3rd Shift Standard Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:00 pm-6:00 am

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate quality control activities during the 3rd shift to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
• Manage and oversee USDA audits, ensuring all audit requirements are met and facilitating communication between auditors and relevant departments.
• Address deviations from quality procedures by advising production on necessary steps, such as disposing of products, collecting samples, or implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure all quality control procedures and protocols are followed by production personnel, including adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Document and track all quality-related issues, deviations, and corrective actions to maintain accurate records and facilitate continuous improvement efforts.
• Conduct monthly training sessions for all departments on quality topics, including preparation for audits and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Utilize Microsoft Office applications to track financials and monitor product movements accurately.
• Communicate audit findings and quality-related issues to production, maintenance, and sanitation departments, ensuring prompt resolution and implementation of corrective actions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Food Science, Quality Management) preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control, with a focus on managing USDA audits and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency understanding of quality control principles, GMPs, and SOPs in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate audit findings and quality issues to cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and train team members effectively.
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts and adjust work schedule as needed to accommodate production demands.
