Process Technician - Plastics and Polymers - Base Salary to 95k/year - Los Angeles, CA
- Our client, a Plastic Film Manufacturer, is seeking a Process Technician to the film extrusion & compounding processes.
- In this role, the Process Technician will identify, recommend and implement process improvements as well as define running conditions on all machines on the floor.
Responsibilities:
- Support operators with troubleshooting and technical issues.
- Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams on technical matters.
- Assess machine capability for new products and trials.
- Share and benchmark best practices with sister plants.
- Select and manage vendors for process improvements.
- Train operators on new equipment and processes.
- Support investigations and corrective actions related to quality complaints.
- Participate in audits, customer visits, trials, and equipment investments.
- Create and maintain process documentation and operating procedures.
- Provide technical support to customers when needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing materials, processes, and equipment.
- Ability to interpret and apply technical and procedural documentation.
Compensation:
- Compensation for this role includes a base salary in the 85k - 95k/year range. Our client also offers competitive health and life benefits & 401k. Relocation assistance is also available.
