    McGuire and Hester is a construction company that provides complete site work services: pipelines, grading paving, concrete, landscape and mechanical. In addition to traditional project delivery methods, we are involved with design build projects and alternative delivery methods. McGuire and Hester have played an integral role in the construction of many of Northern California's most recognizable landmarks and infrastructure projects.     Job Summary

    A One Ton Driver is responsible for delivering carious items to destinations

    Reports to

    Resource Manager and Resource Coordinator

    Key Communication Partners

    Resource, Operations, and Office Staff

    Typical Duties

    • Perform routine pre-trip vehicle safety inspection in accordance with company policy
    • Ensure inventory accuracy for all deliveries and returns
    • Secure materials and equipment for delivery
    • Report any mechanical issues of vehicles or equipment
    • Assist field personnel with loading and unloading deliveries for returns
    • Assist in organizing and cleaning the yard to ensure retrieval of materials and overall cleanliness of the yard
    • Clean and organize company vehicle weekly or as needed
    • Conduct yourself in a professional manner when dealing with field personnel and vendors
    • Perform facility maintenance and repairs as directed by the Resource Manager
    • All other duties as assigned
    • Ability to life 60lbs, kneel, bend, and twist as needed.
    • Think Safety-First and participate in the "Safety Bucks" Program

    Education and Experience : High school diploma or GED preferred and general knowledge of small tool and how they are used

    Language Skills : ability to converse in English and Spanish is preferred

    Reasoning Ability : Apply common sense understanding to carry out multiple step instructions. Deal with standardize situations with occasional variables

    Certificates, Licenses, and Registration : CA driver's license and a clean driving record, Forklift Certified

    Compensation :

    $17 - $22/hr, based on skills, experience, and knowledge
