    Job Description

Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester County. Sun River Health is currently seeking a full-time Research Coordinator to support its All of Us (AoU) program supporting our Peekskill site.

    Position Summary:

As part of the federal Precision Medicine Initiative, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is leading a new program, the All of Us Research Program, which seeks to speed up health research and medical breakthroughs for current and future generations.

To do this, All of Us is asking one million people to share their health information and samples of blood and urine (all de-identified) to build the largest health database of its kind, one that reflects the rich diversity of the United States. Researchers can then use this data to conduct thousands of studies. By looking for patterns, researchers may learn more about what affects people's health.

Sun River Health has partnered with NIH to offer patients the opportunity to enroll in All of Us. The Research Coordinator for All of Us bridges the gap between healthcare and research, facilitating all aspects of patient engagement, enrollment, and longitudinal participation in the program, including collection of vital signs and biospecimens.

•Execute the researchprotocol in compliance with NIH and Institutional Review Board (IRB) guidelines

•Complete certification in human subjects research and uphold ethical research practices

•Complete all training requirements to collect, package, and transport biospecimen samples to an approved drop-off location

•Collect, process, and manage blood and urine specimen in compliance with research standards

•Package and transport biospecimen collection to dangerous goods drop-off location

•Conduct quality assurance/quality control checks of the biospecimen collection process

•Participate and present at meetings with All of Us partners, under the supervision of the Program

•Manage multiple participant rosters to support long-term participation in All of Us

•Perform research recruitment, enrollment, and biospecimen collection at the Poughkeepsie health center and other sites in a 30-mile radius

    Preferences, Skills and Qualifications:
