The Navy Education and Training Center (NETC) Linux System Administrator (SA) - Splunk should understand the foundations of Splunk, Linux, and scriptingExperience with Splunk in an enterprise environment is preferred, but not required
The SA will be part of a very small team managing the Splunk system for the enterprise so they will need to be self-disciplined with drive to learn
Successful candidates will know how to install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems
Located in Pensacola, FL
Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions:
Experience operating in a virtual environment such as VMware vSphere / ESXi, or KVM
Monitoring network activity and network traffic redirection.
Working with web proxies (iptables, mod proxy, digital certificates, etc.), common web servers (i.e., Apache, NGINX), SSL certificates, and DNS records.
Integrating LDAP with Windows Active Directory (AD)Working with Windows and network administration
Installing, configuring, and maintaining physical server hardware.
Linux logging, network traffic analysis, network traffic redirection (i.e., iptables).
Design, implementation, procurement, tradecraft, or maintenance of various layers of network infrastructure
Job Requirements Mandatory:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and three (3) years of IT experience
Three (3) years' experience in Splunk
DoD IAT Level II certification
Active Secret Clearance
Three (3) years' experience as a Linux Systems Administrator
