What Will You Do?

• Process prescription requests, develop trusted customer relationships, and demonstrate patience, empathy, care, and compassion
• Handle rejected insurance claims effectively to ensure the best outcomes for customers
• Adhere to department processes and procedures for accurate information input, medication dispensing, and verification
• Support department operations by assisting with tasks, maintaining inventory levels, and organizing drug stocks and other supplies
• Ensure proper product handling, equipment use, log accuracy, and adherence to sanitation protocols

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in computer skills
• Capability to perform basic mathematical calculations for data entry and prescription filling accuracy
• State-specific requirements – potential need for Pharmacy Technician certification
• Candidates from New Jersey should be at least 18 years old and hold a High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in product ordering and inventory control
• Previous Pharmacy Technician experience
• Pharmacy Technician Certification

Applicants Note: In certain states where we operate, certification or state registration is mandatory for Pharmacy Technician roles. In these regions, Wegmans may hire individuals before they obtain necessary qualifications while supporting them through the process. Certified Pharmacy Technicians in eligible locations receive a $.50/hour shift differential.
