Job Summary:
Village Caregiving - Charleston is seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to join our team in Elkview, West Virginia.

As a caregiver, you will provide support and assistance to patients in their homes, promoting their overall wellbeing and comfort.

This is a part-time, hourly healthcare/medical job where you will be responsible for providing individualized care to each patient.

This is an individual contributor role where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need.

The compensation for this position is $11 to $14 per hour, paid semimonthly.

Responsibilities:

Assist patients with daily tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating
Follow the care plan
Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients
Communicate any changes or concerns in patients' health to appropriate healthcare professionals
Document patient progress and report any significant changes to the appropriate personnel
Ensure all patient information is kept confidential and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Promote independence and selfcare for patients
Follow all safety and infection control measures

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required
Compassionate and empathetic nature
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Time management and organizational skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Must be authorized to work in the United States
