    Job Summary:
    To provide underwriting support to the Commercial Property team and ensure that the administrative processes are run as efficiently to serve both internal and external clients

    Underwriting supportReview new and renewal submissions and initiate the underwriting process, including but not limited to: Review accounts to understand the risk and exposureRequest missing information from brokersProvide opinion of risk and recommendations to underwritersPrepare raters, modelling, account loss history, and other tools as neededReview inspection reports and track recommendation complianceProvide year-over-year comparisons on accountsReview MTA's (mid-term adjustments) and submit instructions for processingPrepare and analyze reports as neededEnsure compliance items are met within Beazley's policies and proceduresProvide ad hoc support to underwriters as neededOrganize and prepare manuscript policies for issuanceBroker/Client InteractionLiaise with brokers and other key partnersRespond to client queries in an accurate and timely fashionProvide professional service to brokers in person, by email and on the telephoneChase open quotes and record final dispositionInternal InteractionLiaise with internal support teams to ensure accurate document preparationCoordinate with wordings/legal team to compose insurance contractsTake an active role in training Underwriting Assistants and other team membersSubmit instructions to Underwriting Assistants and be a resource for internal support staffProvide assistance to internal support staff during peak periods if necessaryEducation and QualificationsMinimum graduate level / Bachelor's Degree educationSkills and AbilitiesAdministrative ExperienceStrong computer skills: Intermediate-Advanced Word, Excel and OutlookAbility to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writingAbility to manage own time, meet deadlines and prioritise workAccurate and numerateKnowledge and ExperienceExperience in the insurance industryClient service experience advantageousAptitude and DispositionSelf-motivatedOutcome focusedFlexible and enthusiasticTeam worker with the ability to work on own initiativeCompetenciesCustomer focusInitiativeAccuracyInformation seekingSelf-starterTeam workingTime managementAchievement orientationDetail orientatedAnalytical thinkingCommunication skillsSalary for this role will be tailored to the successful individual's location and experience.

    The expected compensation range for this position is 65k - 87k per year plus discretionary annual bonus. You will be able to discuss your salary expectations should you be contacted about this role.
