Position Overview: This role of Software Verification Tester is ideally suited for individuals with a background in microbiology and/or clinical sciences. As a key member of a cooperative, cross-disciplinary software development team, you will be responsible for designing and executing manual software verification tests, identifying and analyzing defect data, and creating/maintaining comprehensive documentation of all testing efforts for software applications used by internal R&D departments tasked with developing innovative in vitro diagnostic solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and formulate software verification test cases and document outcomes
Collaborate with microbiology specialists, business analysts, software developers, and project managers to assess feature requirements, specifications, and user stories for effective test development
Assist in verifying specific anomaly fixes, including contributing to validation testing activities and field-related support
Emphasize continuous enhancement of testing processes and software quality
Participate in prescribed procedures relevant to daily tasks
Stay abreast of current industry trends in software testing

Minimum Qualifications:

Hold a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related scientific discipline (e.g. Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), Biology, Biomedical Engineering, etc.) or equivalent professional background
Possess prior experience in a clinical or industrial laboratory setting
Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills with a knack for producing clear, concise documentation
Showcase robust teamwork and collaboration aptitudes

Preferred Qualifications:

Over 1 year of professional experience in software testing, verification, or validation
Background working within an ISO/FDA regulated environment as part of a product development team (particularly in the medical device or biotech realm)
Familiarity with the operation of bioMérieux products (VITEK, VirtuO, VITEK MS, etc.) in a clinical environment
