    We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our team and support production activities at Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii (Oahu). This is a non-deployable role and there will not be any travel involved.

    Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for planning and controlling inventory levels to meet project and production requirements. Maintains centralized document control center for all accountable transactions and total visibility of assets. Maintains input to inventory systems. Reviews and analyzes requirements and inventory levels and generates purchase requisitions as required. Coordinates transfer of stock, tracks shortages, and expedites as required. Coordinates with purchasing, production planning, and the warehouse to ensure appropriate routing, scheduling, and storing of goods. Coordinates with contracts on project transfers and approvals, with engineering on obsolescence and Bill of Materials (BOM) changes, and with manufacturing on status of out-of-stock situations.
    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Reviews and monitors material requirements based on MRP, Kanban, and reorder point inventory reports. Identifies common inventory to be transferred to projects. Generates purchase requisitions to meet project (s) and production requirements, some of which may be complex.
  • Establishes ABC codes and order policies of parts. Monitors purchased parts and bulk items utilizing shortage reports, sales orders, purchase requests and work orders. Sets up min/max/reorder quantities for applicable parts. Analyzes and replenishes inventory utilizing Min-Max reports.
  • Reviews and analyzes cycle count results, and participates in resolution of inventory discrepancies.
  • Compiles various routine and non-routine inventory reports, some of which may be complex, using appropriate computer system(s) or hard copy documents. Maintains MRP system through planning data input, and maintains databases as required.
  • Assists in identifying future Hi-Time material requirements. May perform requirements computations to ensure adequate inventory levels.
  • Assists in the analysis and resolution of obsolete and excess inventory. Recommends solutions to ensure requirements are met. Reviews and approves unplanned issues from inventory.
  • May assist in determining stock level replenishment requirements for Kanban locations on the production floor or stockroom.
  • Assists with investigations and analysis of inventory activities.
  • Responds to routine verbal and written requests for information from internal sources.
  • May provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
