    Job Title: Field Access Specialist (FAS)


    Job Description:
    The Field Access Specialist (FAS) serves as a valuable resource for healthcare professionals (HCPs) to address inquiries related to patient access. Operating within a specific geographic area, the FAS engages directly with HCP offices to provide insights on patient access and reimbursement for AbbVie's product lineup. By offering expertise on coverage and common access challenges, the FAS plays a crucial role in supporting HCPs. Responsibilities of the FAS include educating HCPs on available access and reimbursement support tools, advising on patient prescription status and program eligibility, and guiding HCP offices on payer procedures.


      Key Responsibilities:
    • Educate HCPs on patient support programs, access, and reimbursement tools
    • Inform about product-specific access options like specialty pharmacy networks
    • Provide guidance on available resources to address access issues
    • Stay updated on national/regional payer policies and educate providers accordingly
    • Collaborate with AbbVie's Access and Reimbursement support center for real-time updates
    • Report payer trends to relevant teams
    • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers
    • Keep current on managed care and reimbursement policies

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of industry experience in access and reimbursement or account management
    • In-depth knowledge of payer processes and coverage requirements
    • Proven leadership skills
    • Ability to communicate complex coding and billing elements effectively
    • Understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D
    • Familiarity with drug acquisition and dispensing practices
    • Comprehension of reimbursement support regulations
    • Bachelor's degree and a valid driver's license
