- 10+ years of experience as an attorney or in-house counsel with a successful track record.
- Extensive knowledge of contract law, corporate finance, and corporate transactions.
- Prior experience in property services, preferably in a legal or corporate role.
- Experience with big brands and franchises in multi-brand environments.
- Interest and expertise in corporate and transactional matters.
- Strong judgment, prioritization skills, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Integrity, commitment to ethics, ability to work in a matrixed organization.
- JD degree from an accredited university.

Job Summary: The Chief Legal Officer will directly report to the CEO and Executive Team, offering vital support in franchise law, contract administration, vendor agreements, intellectual property matters, corporate governance, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Franchise Legal Administration: Oversee franchise contract management, renewals, filings, and compliance.
- Legal Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of legal matters, utilizing risk assessment techniques and practical decision-making.
- Compliance Oversight: Develop internal policies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- HR and Employment Support: Assist in handling HR and employment issues.
- Contract Management: Support contract execution, draft agreements, manage contracts, and provide guidance on transactional law.
- Litigation Management: Supervise litigation matters with external counsel.
- Collaboration: Foster collaboration with the team and partner companies.
- Corporate Development: Collaborate with Corporate Development for efficient M&A and corporate transactions.
- Transactional Leadership: Lead legal aspects of transactions, guide executives, manage deal processes, due diligence, and negotiate documentation.
- Governance and Compliance: Manage governance and compliance matters for subsidiaries and joint ventures.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on legal developments and engage in networking.
