    We heard you knock The Senior Product Manager is a key leader within the North American residential business unit, specifically responsible for setting the long-term product category direction to drive both growth and profitability through the product portfolio.

    Responsibilities

    Develop and implement product portfolio strategies that provide industry leadership of interior doors and profitable growth for Masonite
    Manage all interior products within the portfolio throughout all stages of the product life cycle
    Develop strategies for development, introduction, continuing contribution, and discontinuance, while maximizing overall growth and profitability within the P&L
    Execute and maintain a product portfolio strategy to guide new product development areas and leads cross-functional efforts with the New Product Development team and all functional areas and locations
    Monitor current, and anticipates future, consumer and customer needs and preferences by working closely with Sales and Market Intelligence
    Manage product pricing, both new and existing, through competitive research, internal data analysis and sales interaction
    Provide recommendations on pricing strategies which enhances portfolio profitability
    Work closely with Category Management team on optimizing product portfolio and pricing strategy by customer
    Lead Discovery work to generate new products and platforms within appropriate target segments
    Understand voice of customer/consumer and translate into business opportunities
    Support development of annual product marketing plans
    Help support promotional plans, advertising campaigns, catalogs, brochures, displays, exhibits, and other promotional and marketing materials
    Steer all engineering and manufacturing activities concerned with new product or new technology development and product maintenance activities related to products
    Ensure accurate forecasting information, particularly as it pertains to new, discontinued or promotional products
    Maintain on-going competitive intelligence to guide pricing, promotions, field activity, customer service and product development
    Relate and recommend changes in established market distribution and strategy as necessary by market and consumer preferences
    Coordinate the interpretation of codes and distribution of this information to the sales organization and customers
    Seek legal advice from corporate counsel to ensure propriety of pricing mechanism, trademarks, product labeling, policies and contractual agreements
    Demonstrate competency in the Masonite values

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
    Possess understanding of frameworks needed to manage a product line across all stages of the product life cycle
    Ability to manage 1-2 people
    Flexible and able to deal with ambiguity
    Able to think strategically while also enjoying tactical execution of programs
    Analytical and creative problem solver
    Strong on planning and attention to detail
    Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
    Working knowledge of Microsoft project or similar platform preferred
    Possess strong skills in written and oral communication with all levels of internal management and outside stakeholders
    Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree in marketing or related field; MBA/MS preferred
    Minimum of 10 years business experience, with 3-5 years relevant experience in product management, or other related sales or marketing experience preferred with the drive and determination to grow within a given role and within the organization
    Travel ~25% for customer visits, line reviews, trade shows, manufacturing plants and other business needs
