    Commercial Insurance Risk Advisor

    Brooklyn, NY | Full Time

    The salary range for this position is based on the individual's experience and tenure and ranges from $110,000-$130,000 a year.

    Job Summary:

    The risk manager will be primarily accountable for supervising the risk management functions across the entire company, specific to New York Construction accounts. This includes conducting comprehensive reviews to verify that subcontractors' insurance aligns with our clients' specific insurance prerequisites and meticulously handling claims in the event of an occurrence. Effective communication skills and scrupulous attention to detail are of utmost importance for the risk manager's interactions with clients.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Review contractual insurance requirements and make recommendations on appropriate insurance language.
    • Review subcontractor's policies & COIs for correct coverages, limits and exclusions - Assess subcontractor/independent contractor insurance adequacy.
    • Manage day-to-day interaction between brokers, adjusters, and insurers related to risk management and claims issues.
    • Review, assess, process and manage incoming New York Construction claims.
    • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

    Education and Experience:

    • 5 years experience in a Commercial/Construction position
    • Strong understanding of Property & Casualty insurance
    • Must hold a property & casualty insurance license
    • Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products
    • Knowledge of AMS preferred but not required
