    Description

    Produce Department Supervisor at Fresh Mart

    • Create exceptional customer experiences through outstanding service.
    • Maintain a safe, clean, and inviting environment to encourage customer loyalty.
    • Achieve sales and profit goals for the department while upholding quality standards.
    • Direct and supervise all functions of the Produce department.
    • Support day-to-day operations in Produce.
    • Embrace a Customer 1st strategy and promote excellent service from associates.
    • Adhere to all laws, safety regulations, and company guidelines.
    • Promote trust and respect among team members.
    • Communicate necessary information efficiently to associates.
    • Set performance goals and empower associates to achieve targets through teamwork.
    • Implement scheduling to manage customer volume effectively.
    • Train associates on job responsibilities and product knowledge.
    • Create a welcoming environment for customers, offering product samples and informing them of specials.
    • Ensure product quality, freshness, and optimal stock levels.
    • Recommend products to customers based on their needs.
    • Develop a business plan for the department.
    • Implement merchandising strategies and keep associates informed about ads.
    • Monitor department expenses and inventory levels.
    • Maintain price accuracy and ensure proper stocking procedures.
    • Assist with inventory management and temperature control.
    • Reinforce safety procedures and report any issues to management.
    • Practice preventive maintenance on equipment.
    • Report safety risks, accidents, and incidents promptly.
    • Must meet the essential job requirements.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 18 years of age.
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Basic math knowledge.
    • Ability to handle stressful situations.
    • Food handlers permit.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Management experience is preferred.
    • Previous experience in Produce department.
