- Provide individualized personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (i.e., feeding, transfers and ambulation, showering, toileting, hand washing, etc.).
- Provide home care services in Participants' home. This may include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, making a bed, laundry, cleaning the kitchen, clean the bathroom and other light housekeeping duties in their home.
- Running errands for Participants while they are at the Participant's home.
- Completes and maintains accurate records of the participants' attendance, activity participation, nutritional intake (as required), health monitoring, and incidents in the participant's home.
- Maintains a safe secure environment. Follow all body mechanics standards, ensuring that staff and participants remain injury free. Report all safety issues to the HomeCare Supervisor and monitor the environment for the proper functioning of all equipment.
- Work cooperatively with all staff. Foster working relationships that facilitate team work, mentoring and a positive work environment.
- Follow all LIFE policies and procedures and practice guidelines.
- Follow attendance guidelines; attend staff meetings, in-services, training sessions and treatment team meetings, as scheduled.
- Holds and maintains a current Oklahoma Long Term Care Aide certification
- Holds and maintains a current Driver's license.
- Upon hire, will obtain and maintain current certifications in first aid and CPR.
- Prefer a minimum one year of experience as a CNA.
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
- A genuine desire to work with older adults.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills with older adults, caregivers and coworkers.
- Present a caring, friendly attitude with an outgoing personality.

Job DescriptionDescription:POSITION SUMMARY: HomeCare Aide is primarily responsible performing assigned functions of personal care (showering, feeding, transfers, incontinent care, etc.) to the patient in their residence. Some other tasks include light housekeeping, meal prep, and shopping. Encouraging independence and involvement of the client while performing assigned tasks.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires constant hand grasp and finger dexterity; frequent sitting, standing, walking and repetitive leg and arm movements, Frequent bending, reaching forward and overhead, squatting and kneeling. This includes the ability to lift at least 50 lbs., push 200 lbs., and walk or stand 90% of the time. Ability to communicate verbally, with an excellent comprehension of the English language. Has access to and ability to drive one's own vehicle.
