- Engage and challenge children through a variety of learning experiences.
- Collaborate with Teacher Assistant to develop and implement goals and objectives.
- Plan and implement activities utilizing provided lesson plan format.
- Use children interests to drive the curriculum.
- Use Active Supervision to establish a safe and healthy environment to support the development of each child.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies.
- Assess children to show measurable progress in all developmental domains.
- Administering appropriate developmental screenings.
- Keep timely documentation and record keeping as required by all applicable regulations.
- Participate in 2 home visits and 2 family teacher conferences per school year.
- Utilizes agency software to input data and generate reports used for tracking and follow-up.
- Collaborate with all departments to maximize resources
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Demonstrated ability to implement hands on curriculum
- Friendly, flexible, team player
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to adapt to high paced environment
- Knowledge of childcare licensing requirements preferred
- Must be physically and emotionally able to work with young children
- Ability to communicate with children, parents, and other professionals
- Ability to safely, and physically transport a child (0-5 years old); vision and hearing adequate to supervise children in the classroom area and on the playground; ability to be at child's eye level
- Computer skills sufficient to use online program to enter data, and to guide children in use of classroom technology.
- Willingness to complete pre-employment background check including federal fingerprints, physical, drug test, and TB test as required by all applicable regulations
- Must work 36 hours but are paid for 40, other 4 hours can be utilized on Fridays for catch-up
- Some Fridays are required (4 hours only) through out the school year for In-Service and Training times, all dates are provided up front).
- 43 weeks per year (Off for Fall Break (Oct), Winter Break (Dec/Jan), Spring Break (March), and Summer Break (June-Mid-July)
