    Description:

    Under periodic supervision, the role involves performing diverse tasks of moderate complexity that require the application of standard procedures and criteria. The responsibilities include installation, troubleshooting, and decommissioning network equipment and circuits, especially fiber transport equipment and critical infrastructures. Demonstrates a level of experience with circuit provisioning, maintenance testing, telecommunication equipment installation, and acceptance. The duties encompass diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving customer and network issues, as well as overseeing splicing of Metro/Long Haul Outside Plant fibers. Monitors routes, executes restoration during service interruptions, proactively addresses potential problem areas, and ensures network integrity. The role also entails installing, testing, and maintaining various services and equipment. Responsibilities extend to asset management, coordinating shipping and receiving, and conducting preventive/scheduled maintenance and inspections. Education Requirements: High School Diploma/GED or relevant job experience. Physical Requirements: Sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs. Valid driver's license required, works in all weather conditions. Preferred Education Skills and Experience include 2 yrs. of High School/GED education in Electronics or Telecommunications. Attention to detail, organizational capabilities, prioritization skills, and time management abilities are crucial. The role requires 2-5 years of experience working with Telecommunication equipment, technical and mechanical background knowledge, as well as expertise in various systems and equipment. The Technician II must possess a high degree of experience and/or knowledge in at least two major technician disciplines. Skills needed include Transmission, Switching, and Outside Plant expertise. The role necessitates maintaining site security and cleanliness, PC skills, Microsoft Windows proficiency, and quick learning ability. On-call duties and overtime may be necessary. 2-4 Years of Experience.
