    Our client, a global Fintech company based in CA is seeking a Senior Accountant on a 100% Remote basis.

    Contract (W2 Non-Exempt)

    100% Remote

    Pay: $55-$60/hr. DOE

    About the role:

    The position is primarily responsible for overseeing the accounting for the prepayment space. This includes various month-end duties such as preparing journal entries, maintaining account reconciliations, and working on ad-hoc projects as assigned. Additionally, they will work closely with business partners, and finance partners on accounting related matters.

    Responsibilities:

    • Gather financial data and ledgers.
    • Consolidate and analyze financial statements and results.
    • Prepare budgets and monitor expenditures.
    • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
    • Manage periodical reporting.
    • Review general ledger accounts and prepare and adjust journal entries.
    • Perform account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and if applicable inter-company general ledger accounts.
    • Post monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals.
    • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

    Education:

    • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
    • Professional Certification (e.g. CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) credential.
