    Amentum is seeking a skilled and experienced Fusion Center Operations Coordinator to support Joint Interagency Task Force West. The Fusion Center Operations Assistant will work closely with our Strategic Initiatives Lead to develop and implement key projects, manage budgets, oversee strategic communications, and coordinate efforts across USINDOPACOM, OSD, and the interagency. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for driving organizational success.

    The Fusion Center Operations Assistant is responsible for spearheading open- source maritime domain awareness, information sharing, and fusion center initiatives.

    Key duties and responsibilities include:

    • Coordinate and support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives.
    • Oversee the preparation of high-quality briefing materials for senior leadership, including press releases and social media posts.
    • Manage project budgets and ensure that spending aligns with organizational goals.
    • Coordinate efforts across all directorates to ensure project success.
    • Work closely with interagency partners to align goals and coordinate efforts. Ø Provide strategic briefings to USINDOPACOM Commander, Ambassadors, JIATF West Director, and other senior leaders.
    • Travel approximately 25% of the time to attend meetings, conferences, and other events as needed.
    • Maintain a TS/SCI clearance and adhere to all relevant security protocols. Security Cooperation Planning & Integration:
    • Coordinate and facilitate funding for impactful long-term maritime domain awareness projects in collaboration with the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, USINDOPACOM, JIATF West and director reporting units.
    • Coordinate with J5 sub-regional policy offices and security cooperation officers to effectively mainstream fusion center initiatives into regional and country engagement plans and within operations, activities, and investments conducted with partner nations.
    • Lead JIATF West in the development and coordination of fusion center strategic messages with partner nations
    • Lead Fusion Center MDA/information sharing initiative implementation across operations, activities, and investments with partner nations, and integration into policies and plans Strategic Initiatives Coordination
    • Coordinate across DoD and Interagency to build and promote internal capabilities and with strategic initiative considerations within USINDOPACOM.
    • Integrate Strategic Initiatives into Key Leader Engagements and preparation, as appropriate.
    • Develop written products such as talking points, information papers, and oral presentations for Command leadership.
    • Assist with workshop/conference support including logistics, developing content, participating as a speaker, panelist, subject matter expert, etc
    • Coordinate with internal DoD and external stakeholders to include strategic outreach.
    • Provide administrative support to include calendar scheduling and management with JIATF West; MS Teams, SharePoint, and Shared Drive folder management.
    • Provide Strategic Initiatives knowledge management support to include ensuring relevant and updated materials and information are widely accessible to relevant stakeholders.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (business administration, public policy, communications, project management)
    • Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management or a related field
    • 3+ years of DoD/interagency experience
    • 3+ years of experience within Indo-Pacific; knowledge of USINDOPACOM Theater Strategy and USINDOPACOM battle rhythm and processes
    • Experience with DoD security cooperation planning and programming
    • Experience working with USG interagency departments and agencies
    • High proficiency in authoring analytical and/or policy documents
    • High Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create high-quality briefing materials and communicate complex ideas to diverse and senior-level audiences
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Experience managing budgets and financial resources
    • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time as required
    • Active Top Secret/ SCI security clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Graduate of a military command and staff college (JPME Phase 1)
    • 5+ years of DoD/Interagency experience
    • 5+ years of experience within Indo-Pacific; knowledge of USINDOPACOM Theater Strategy and USINDOPACOM battle rhythm and processes
    • 2+ years of experience with joint doctrine, joint strategic planning, and the joint operational planning process

    Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

    • Knowledge of the planning continuum to include the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP), Joint Operating Concepts (JOC), and Joint Capabilities Areas (JCA).
    • Knowledge of USINDOPACOM policy and strategy and a thorough understanding of USINDOPACOM TCP/TCO, GCPs, CT EXORD, OPLANs, CONPLANs, and Theater Security Cooperation Plans including linkages to parallel national interests.
    • Knowledge of U.S. national plans and policy (National Security Strategy (NSS), National Military Strategy (NMS), Unified Command Plan (UCP), Guidance for Employment of the Force (GEF), and Joint Strategic Campaign Plan (JSCP).
    • Thorough understanding of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) to include mission analysis, course of action development, analysis, comparison, recommendation, and approval.
    • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing in order to provide information, articles, written reports, and presentations to include delivering executive summaries to flag and general officers (FO/GO) and Senior Executive Service (SES) level officials.

    The salary range for this position is $140K to $150K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
