Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a night shift travel contract at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, with a minimum of 1 year of experience required.
562-bed acute care hospital with Level I Trauma designation and Magnet status
Work settings include Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ER, ICU, NICU, and Operating Room
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (1830–0700 or 1900–0730)
Every 3rd weekend required
On-call required as needed
Holiday coverage required
13-week contract
Cerner EMR used; experience preferred
No floating outside of clinical scope
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of X-Ray Technologist experience
Active ARRT certification required
Active BLS required
Active Illinois state license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
Pending licenses are not accepted; an active license is required
Proficiency in abdomen/GI X-ray studies: abdomen decubitus, abdomen supine (KUB), and abdomen upright
Proficiency in chest and thorax X-ray studies: chest AP, chest lateral decubitus, chest routine, and upper airway/soft tissue neck
Proficiency in head X-ray studies: facial bones, orbits, paranasal sinuses, skull, and temporomandibular joints
Proficiency in lower extremity X-ray studies: ankle, femur, foot, knee, and tibia-fibula
Proficiency in mobile/surgical X-ray: C-arm procedures, portable abdomen, and portable chest
Proficiency in spine and pelvis X-ray: cervical spine, hip, lumbar spine, pelvis, sacrum/coccyx, and thoracic spine
Proficiency in upper extremity X-ray: clavicle, elbow, forearm, hand, scapula, shoulder, trauma shoulder/humerus (scapular Y, transthoracic axial), and wrist
Experience with O-ARM equipment required
Level I Trauma experience preferred
