STATE PARK SUPERINTENDENT II – LAW ENFORCEMENT AND EMERGENCY SERVICES DIVISION
The reporting location for this position is HQ in Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the direction of the Assistant Chief of the Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Division (LEESD).
The Superintendent of Emergency Services (SES) is responsible for the planning, control, monitoring and direction of the Emergency Services Unit within LEESD. The reporting location for the SES is in the LEESD at the Resources Building in Sacramento (HQ). The SES may be required to perform any duties within LEESD including, but not limited to managing the Serious Incident Notification program on a rotational basis, law enforcement services, DOC site, CAL OES A-Rep program, and background and Internal Affairs investigations. As a designated State Park Peace Officer whose authority extends statewide (on or off duty), the SES must be able to supervise and perform law enforcement and other public safety activities. This position requires travel fieldwork and may involve a large amount of field work to attend or present training, for investigations, for meetings, and for emergency preparation or response.
State Housing is not available.
