    Our client, a major employer in the area, is looking for Paint Technician to be part of its team in its North merican operations.

    Job Description:
    Who we're looking for:
    Client's Engineering Design Innovation Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Technician.

    The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Rapid Prototype creation process within R&D. Reporting to the RP Shop Supervisor, the person in this role will support the Eng. Design Innovation department's objective to support Client North America Product Development and Vehicle Evaluation.

    What you'll be doing:
    Ensure Prototype RP part Quality and Delivery will meet or exceed customer requirements.
    Operate and maintain SLA, SLS, FDM, and MJM 3D Printing equipment
    Initial responsibility will be centered on RP part Production and finishing and process Quality Assurance.
    Client Safety Management System participation.
    Solve problems and create Kaizen to support Safety, Quality, Productivity KPIs.
    Flexibility and commitment to above responsibilities will require up to 30% overtime at peak times.
    Cyclical nature of Prototype Production will require broad flexibility of work assignment
    - Fabricate functional parts, appearance models, and scale models
    - Finishing for body repair or RP class 'A' appearance
    - Prototype assembly, Special Projects
    Take initiative to problem solve and Kaizen while working effectively with the entire R&D team.

    Requirements:
    What you bring
    • 1 yr experience in vehicle body work & paint skill (trade school education or work equivalent experience)
    • bility to sand / finish resin parts to desired finish level
    • bility to judge surface and coating finish vs. boundary sample
    • JIG, or Fixture design and adjustment
    • Have ability to fix minor imperfections (sand and rub)
    • bility to accommodate daily priority changes as needed
    • Willingness to follow standardized work and safety protocols
    • bility to work both independently and in small teams.
    • Demonstrated commitment to the customer (embrace flexibility of assignment and willingness to support in all functional roles).
    • Fundamental paint knowledge and skills (Mixing paint, setting up gun, spray application, etc.)
    • Must be reliable
    • Willing (eager) to work and able to work 10-hour days
    • Willing to take instruction and critiques
    • Must exhibit flexibility and willing to adapt to help in different areas
    • Comfortable in fast paced environment
