Title: Senior SQL Server DBA with Azure

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Duration: Long Term Contract

Key Tech Skills:

• Any Scripting
• Expertise in SQL Server
• Strong in Azure
• Experience with open-source database solutions is a plus, such as MongoDB, MySQL, and Snowflake

Requirements for a good technical fit:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience managing a team of database engineers
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience managing medium/large enterprise database platforms
• Expert knowledge of SQL Server features, functionality, and performance optimization techniques
• Strong knowledge of cloud database solutions, including RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, RedShift, and Snowflake
• Strong knowledge of open-source database solutions, specifically PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB
• Strong skills in data modeling, T-SQL, creating and optimizing stored procedures, functions, and SSIS packages
• Experience with reporting strategies and tools like SSRS, Power BI, and Tableau
• Deep understanding of establishing and maintaining data modeling standards and security protocols
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages
• Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, and Git
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
• Operational expertise in Windows and Linux server administration
• Experience with CI/CD platforms and SDLC automation
• Analytical skills for problem-solving and solution determination
• Strong documentation abilities for clear and concise communication of ideas and requirements

• Experience in the financial services industry
• Experience with ClickHouse databases
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Cloud Formation
