- Conduct legal research and apply findings to support client matters, including litigation and general counsel issues.
- Draft legal documents such as memos, contracts, policies, motions, and briefs under the guidance of senior attorneys.
- Assist in litigation and administrative proceedings, including discovery, hearing preparation, and client representation.
- Participate in advising public school clients on governance, compliance, student and personnel matters, and special education.
- Attend board of education meetings, IEP meetings, mediations, and administrative hearings with mentorship and supervision.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy, legal analysis, and project planning.
- Maintain organized case files and contribute to high-quality client service.
- We welcome candidates at varying levels of experience, including new graduates and attorneys transitioning into education law.
- The strongest candidates will demonstrate interest in public education, excellent legal research and writing skills, strong analytical thinking and communication skills, and ability to manage time effectively.
- Prior exposure to education law, special education, labor/employment law, or public sector work is a plus but not required.
- We offer partial and fully remote work options subject to client and business needs.
- Training and mentorship will be provided for early-career attorneys.
