Associate or Senior Associate Attorney – Education Law

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented attorney to join our team as an Associate or Senior Associate in our education law practice. If you are passionate about public education and have excellent legal research and writing skills, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and apply findings to support client matters, including litigation and general counsel issues.
• Draft legal documents such as memos, contracts, policies, motions, and briefs under the guidance of senior attorneys.
• Assist in litigation and administrative proceedings, including discovery, hearing preparation, and client representation.
• Participate in advising public school clients on governance, compliance, student and personnel matters, and special education.
• Attend board of education meetings, IEP meetings, mediations, and administrative hearings with mentorship and supervision.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy, legal analysis, and project planning.
• Maintain organized case files and contribute to high-quality client service.

Qualifications:

• We welcome candidates at varying levels of experience, including new graduates and attorneys transitioning into education law.
• The strongest candidates will demonstrate interest in public education, excellent legal research and writing skills, strong analytical thinking and communication skills, and ability to manage time effectively.
• Prior exposure to education law, special education, labor/employment law, or public sector work is a plus but not required.
