    OVERVIEW

    Axalta Refinish is seeking an experienced candidate to join our team as an Event Manager in support of a robust global marketing program. In this role, the Event Manager will manage global event programs, provide support for regional activities, and assist with Refinish employee events and meetings.

    This role requires a flexible individual with 5+ years of corporate event experience who can lead the planning and execution of a variety of events including exhibits, sponsorships, meetings, and more. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, enjoy a variety of projects, and have a willingness to roll up sleeves to successfully execute events.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Plan, coordinate, and execute meetings, exhibits, and other events with support from the region in which the event occurs.
    • Manage every aspect of the event including proposals, contracts, budgets, event orders, rental orders, layouts, rooming lists, schedules, and more.
    • Liaise with Segment Marketing Communications Leaders to ensure the segment brands, value proposition and strategy is properly reflected in our events and event materials.
    • Oversee creative and event agencies in support of key events.
    • Create a project plan that tracks tasks, owners, and deadline for team members in the Global Marketing Team and in the countries and regions.
    • Manage events to budget; work closely with Marketing Coordinator to ensure expenses are properly coded as part of the payment process.
    • Draft an event overview and executive briefing, if needed, for internal stakeholder alignment.
    • Provide occasional guidance on regional event plans, including strategy, segment representation, materials, and more.
    REQUIREMENTS
    • 5+ years of corporate event experience required
    • Highly organized, detailed-oriented professional able to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Corporate or B2B event experience a must
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to foster positive relationships with colleagues and partners
    • Works very well independently and part of a highly collaborative team
    • Some travel, up to 25% is required.
    • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
    • Successful completion of 2+ year college or university program in Marketing, Business or related field is highly preferred.
