- Completion an approved program of Limited General Radiology required.
- Minimum of two years' experience as a diagnostic radiology technologist preferred.
- Temporary or Permanent license through the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) Registered or registry-eligible for Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with peers, departmental colleagues, physicians, and medical practice leadership.
- Knowledge of anatomy and radiographic exposure required.

Limited Radiology Technologist - Myrtle Beach, United States - Conway Medical Center
Description
Position Summary:The Limited Radiologic Technologist (LRT) will be responsible for performing a variety of technical and clerical tasks. The LRT will be responsible for operating radiographic equipment, making radiographs of designated portions of the body, and performing prior authorizations for scheduled procedures. The LRT will be responsible for operating and adjusting x-ray equipment for proper radiographic exposure while utilizing best practice techniques, and explaining x-ray procedures to patients. The LRT will also position patients for each anatomical view and monitor accessory equipment. The LRT will accurately process images for optimal quality, match with appropriate paperwork for interpretation, and demonstrate acceptable film quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and collimation. LRT will assist with administrative functions such as scheduling patient's appointments, adjust scheduling for emergency cases, obtaining insurance verification assisting patients to exam rooms, preparing patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature. The LRT will complete prior authorizations for scheduled procedures, as well as update Electronic Medical Records (EMR). In general, the LRT functions as part of the medical office team and is willing to step in and complete any front and back office assignments within the scope of education/certification/training. The LRT must be willing to coordinate alternate housing within a CPG/CMC facility in advance of shifts when inclement weather potential threatens the ability to get to a facility. The LRT may be required to report to work at an alternate location during any emergency situation i.e. mass casualty, internal disaster, etc.
