    As a Data Science Intern, you'll help use data in multiple formats to help us solve business problems. You'll use advanced statistical and machine learning methods, as well as programming skills and knowledge of technical infrastructure to help us sift through the data to find the best way forward. You'll be part of a team of curious minds who want to know the how and why of the world and come up with solutions that work.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:
    • You will collaborate with business partners to understand business objectives/goals, then develop a clear and well-defined analytic plan that supports obtaining those objectives.
    • Perform data extraction and data manipulation.
    • Develop trusted, actionable outcomes by applying appropriate analytical techniques and metrics.
    • Perform predictive modeling and association modeling such as segmentation analysis, data modeling, risk modeling, behavioral analysis, cross-selling analysis, and customer churn analysis.
    • You will communicate clear outcomes at varying levels of detail.
    WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
    • Pursuing a graduate degree in analytically driven fields such as artificial intelligence, mathematics, statistics, physics, economics, data science, computer engineering, computer science, operations research or actuarial science
    • Proficient at SQL and/or NoSQL to gather data from source systems.
    • Proficient in one of more computer programming languages, of which at least one must be R, Python or other general-purpose coding language.
    • Statistical analysis and machine learning background.
    • Thorough proficiency in data visualization and knowledge of structured and unstructured data platforms.

    • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
    VALUABLE EXPERIENCE:
    • Pursuing PhD in analytically driven fields such as artificial intelligence, mathematics, statistics, physics, economics, data science, computer engineering, computer science, operations research or actuarial science
    • Experience with Hadoop and Hadoop components
    • Product and industry knowledge
