- Monitor and maintain accuracy of all necessary product information in POS system (scan data, inventory data, category data, etc). Address invoice issues with vendors to ensure proper credit.
- Enter new products into the system with all applicable data.
- Check invoice pricing: identify cost changes and update pricing to meet margin goals.
- Process cashier-identified problems daily.
- Assist the purchasing team with perpetual inventory and order system maintenance as directed.
- Suggest improvements to the Scan & IT Manager to help streamline processes.
- Coordinate promotional price maintenance to meet established timelines in assigned areas.
- Assist with sales transitions; ensure all shelves and displays are properly tagged according to schedule.
- Assist in posting and maintaining promotional signs.
- Maintain knowledge of promotional plans for appropriate departments.
- Assist assigned Purchasers with in-store promotions.
- Print and hang new shelf tags as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date, clean, and readable shelf tags.
- Update shelf tags promptly following price changes.
- Validate shelf tag pricing with source pricing as requested by the Scan & IT Manager.
- Identify problem areas within the shelf tagging system and implement necessary improvements in coordination with the appropriate department manager (e.g., visibility, disappearing tags, frequent damage, shopper confusion, etc.) and the Scan & IT Manager.
- Cover Scan Staff as needed.
- Serve as a backup for IT support in IT staff's absence.
- Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems of network equipment, peripherals, and network computers.
- Provide regular and off-hours support for Co-op staff and technology systems as needed.
- Develop and generate tools and reports as requested for Scan and other departments, working with the Scan & IT Manager to prioritize.
- Maintain working knowledge of Front-End systems and capabilities for both retail locations.
- Act as liaison to department managers and staff for Catapult technical problems and/or pricing problems.
- Maintain working knowledge of and assist with the maintenance of Co-Go as directed by the Scan & IT Manager.
- Maintain a working knowledge of margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and other data to create tools for better integration and function of these and other data, in consultation with Scan & IT Manager and Controller.
- Participate with greater POS community - Scan/IT Staff at other co-ops as well as POS technical supportto master and enhance Point of Sale as directed by Scan & IT Manager.
- Work with the Marketing Dept. to promote sales, new items, and special opportunities.
- Assist in prepping and executing annual inventory and others as needed.
- Serve as back-up in Scan & IT Manager's data-related duties in Scan & IT Manager's absence.
- Experience in a retail or food service setting that demonstrates the ability or aptitude to successfully meet all expectations listed above desired.
- Fluency using MS Office required, with skills sufficient to communicate and develop and maintain documents with a high degree of accuracy.
- A working knowledge of computer applications, with proficiency in advanced Excel required.
- Point of Sale and IT support experience desired.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. throughout shift and occasionally up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business; early morning, daytime, evening, holiday, and weekend shifts may be required.
