    Healogics stands as the leading provider of cutting-edge wound care services in the United States, caring for over 300,000 chronic wound patients yearly across more than 600 locations. With a growing elderly population, increasing rates of obesity and diabetes, and a rise in surgical procedures, the demand for expert care for non-healing wounds is on the rise. Hence, our company is focused on bringing our specialized, high-quality outcomes to a growing number of patients in need through our outpatient clinic partnerships.

    Reporting directly to the Program Director, the Hyperbaric Technician plays a crucial role in administering hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Provider. This position requires overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems, as well as ensuring the secure delivery of hyperbaric oxygen therapy to the patients undergoing treatment.

    Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
    • Prepares, educates and orients patients on Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy procedures, supporting them throughout the treatment process.
    • Administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed, closely monitoring their responses and making necessary adjustments to ensure safety and effectiveness.
    • Maintains detailed and accurate patient records related to treatment documentation, including photo uploading.
    • Operates and maintains the hyperbaric chamber and support oxygen systems as needed.
    • Assists in the vein clinic post Healogics Vein Clinic training completion.
    • Participates in safety program activities and drills to uphold a secure work environment.
    • May function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) according to Healogics policy if CMA or LPN certified.
    • Carries out any other duties as assigned.

    Required Education, Experience, and Credentials:

    • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Development).
    • Current healthcare professional certification or license as per state regulations.
    • Minimum of two years' experience in healthcare, preferably in wound or critical care settings.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
    • Proficiency in Hyperbaric equipment troubleshooting.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
    • Basic math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

    Physical Demands:

    • Stationary position, keying on a computer for extended periods, moving about, and lifting heavy items up to 75 pounds.
    • Bending, stooping, and effective communication.
    • Close, distance, and peripheral vision abilities, as well as reaching and touching with hands.

    Work Environment:

    • Indoor patient care setting with exposure to various hazards and mechanical equipment.
    • Proximity to moving objects and electrical currents.

    This position typically offers an hourly rate ranging from $33.18 per hour.

    This estimation varies based on factors such as education, experience, geographical location, operational needs, and legal considerations.
