    BASIC FUNCTION
    As an

    Electrical Engineer (Generators)


    inour team, you will be responsible for the planning, design and development ofnew designs that blend our existing controllers with new or existing sensors,ECMs, alternators or other accessories.

    willmodify existing individual components or design the harnesses to allow all theindividual components in the unit to work together to achieve the performancerequired.

    Additionally, responsibilitieswill include supporting and sustaining product development.

    As part of our SPD team, the ElectricalEngineer will be challenged to identify and resolve critical issues fromsupply chain, manufacturing, or end customer.


    RESPONSIBLITIES


    Communication with the various internal Engineering groups, Hardware and Harness teams, Systems Team, Mechanical Engineering Teams, external component suppliers, the customer, Marketing, and Manufacturing.

    Strong communication skills, both spoken and written, are required for interaction with team members, suppliers, and customers.
    Articulate technical details effectively to team members and suppliers.

    Communicate what is required to meet the performance criteria and how to test and verify that the performance was met.

    Report out schedules, progress, and requirements to product development teams.
    Responsible for developing and configuring solutions for a wide range of component and product configurations.

    Responsible for developing harness and wire management systems that comply with third party agency regulatory requirements and internal KPS design standards.

    Proficiency with Windchill, SAP, AutoCAD, SEE Electrical, and/or Creo will be critical to long term success.

    Develop a strong technical working knowledge on a wide variety of engine or generator controllers, sensor and third-party hardware and software tools.

    Responsible for improving and developing harness design procedures and standards.
    Directs or performs required testing to approve new suppliers of sensors, connectors, ECMs and accessories.

    Responsible for creating and maintaining the database of sensors, gauges, accessories, and auxiliary components that have been tested and approved for each controller, alternator, engine and switchgear assembly.

    Organize, contribute to, define, and develop global standards for harness development.
    Assist with aligning North American processes with global initiatives, as they relate to harness development.
    Grow and develop electronics controller integration process.

    Learn and understand Leads and Harness manufacturing processes and capabilities in order to make informed and collaborative decisions for new and current products.

    Drive the process and review all test plans, specifications, prints and test results to ensure best practices are followed.
    Ability to lead Engineering Analysts in design and CAD and SEE tasks both at KPS and ITC.
    Ability to manage schedules and tasks for the successful implementation of generator integration projects.
    Demonstrate an ability to collaborate efficiently with team members, management, and customer representatives.
    Report project progress and results obtained to the Engineering Team in order to achieve overall milestones, timelines and/or objectives.

    Skills/Requirements
    Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
    1-3 years of Electrical Engineering Experience preferred.
    Knowledge of any of the following is a plus: Creo Cable, AutoCAD, SEE Electrical.
    Knowledge of designing to the National Electrical Code (NEC) Standards is a plus.
    Software experience with SAP or PTC Windchill is a plus.
    Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
    Thesalary range for this position is $76,050 - $96,050.

    The specific salaryoffered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors includingthe candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
