The Quality/Utilization Review Nurse is responsible for evaluating the medical necessity and appropriateness of healthcare services provided to patients.Key Responsibilities include Utilization Review Conducting concurrent and retrospective reviews of patient charts to assess medical necessity and level of care Communicating with insurance providers for pre-certifications continued stay reviews and authorizations
- Quality Assurance Monitoring compliance with hospital quality standards identifying trends in care delivery participating in performance improvement initiatives
