- PICU will serve as pediatric referral center for all Baptist facilities in surrounding areas

Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women opened the Spence and Becky Wilson Children s Hospital, which is home to their dedicated Pediatric Emergency Room which features 10-bays for patient care and 2,000 square foot diagnostic area. The Hardin Pediatric Center is the hospital s inpatient Pediatric unit, which is specifically designed to meet children s medical needs as well as their growth and developmental needs. In late 2016, the hospital opened their Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, which is open as 2-beds in a newly constructed 12-bed PICU in the Children s Hospital. The transport service is going to cover maternal, neonatal, and pediatric transports. Transport mode will include air as well as ground. The Children s Hospital is the pediatric referral system for over 20 hospitals in the Baptist system spanning over 200-miles in 3 states.
