Job summary
Designs organizes and delivers massage therapy to improve clients physical health by relieving stress pain muscle tension and other discomforts Works towards increasing flexibility and mobility for clients Collects clients clinical information and contraindications Designs appropriate massage programs considering health conditions Assesses clients tissue lesions and applies various massage methods to relieve discomfort and satisfy clients specific needs and goals Communicates with clients during massage therapy sessions about the pace location strength of exerted pressure on tissues Answers client inquiries Organizes maintains a clean safe professional environment for massage therapy Educates clients on accurate daily body movement exercises Depending on location client population works as patient resident access representative checking clients in out Additionally managing client payments running payment processes
Qualifications
- Schooling through an accredited massage therapy program required High school diploma or the equivalent required Dependent on patient client population location of therapist a healthcare background is preferred Basic Life Support BLS certification required within 60 days of employment recertification as required
