    Description

    Title:
    Tool/Die Design Engineer


    Job Summary :


    The Tool/Die Engineer is responsible for tooling designs, design details, tooling material selections, and the creation of new die / tooling techniques.

    Will also research new tooling and machine technologies, innovations, and processes in order to develop new products, improve on existing products as well as reduce costs.


    Supervisory Responsibilities:
    None


    Duties/Responsibilities:
    Assess the tooling design requirements for development of complex cold heading parts.

    Follow through with tooling designs from experimental to production, in order to determine feasibility, fitment and proper application for long term production.


    Required Skills/Abilities:


    Be knowledgeable with all Marshall procedures and work instructions pertaining to any personal job responsibilities to achieve and maintain maximum quality performance.

    Must be able to work with others in the department.
    Have knowledge to oversee the building of samples and tooling engineering drawings.
    Be able to prepare tooling cost estimates for new products.
    Know how to determine and establish specifications when design or manufacturing problems are involved.
    Be able to prepare and maintain CAD drawings with the company engineering information systems.
    Process tooling analysis and tooling simulation effectively for product application.
    Must be able to comprehend and accurately utilize the current company information system applicable to job responsibilities.
    Must possess sufficient communicative and reporting skills to interact with all local and corporate Deringer-Ney, Inc. employees, management, and any outside sources/representatives to accomplish any/all job-related duties and/or responsibilities.


    Education and Experience:
    High School Diploma or equivalent.
    AS + experience or BS in Engineering


    Physical Requirements:
    Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
    Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
