    We are a growing company looking for a Director of Quality Assurance. This role will be hands-on and onsite.


    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
    Oversee the quality assurance standards for all heat treatment services.
    Ensure they meet customer expectations, material specifications, government standards, and companyquality policies.
    Manage, train, and guide the quality assurance team, pyrometry staff, and metallurgists.
    Uphold and enhance a quality management system that complies with ISO, NADCAP, and client requirements.
    Manage the certification processes.
    Supervise material examinations, including hardness, conductivity, and metallurgical tests.
    Address and solve issues with parts that fail to meet quality standards.
    Establish and maintain standardized procedures and processes for essential components.
    Facilitate audits conducted by clients and regulatory organizations.
    Implement actions for correction and prevention.
    Organize, lead, and report on quarterly management review meetings.
    Investigate and apply new specifications pertinent to heat treatment procedures.
    Supervise technical vendors, including those providing testing and calibration services.
    Support other departments with quality assurance concerns.
    Maintain the department's operations within the allocated budget.
    Create and execute strategies for cost reduction.
    Ensure the department is staffed with competent individuals who are informed about company policies, expectations, and safety guidelines.
    Generate, review, and present necessary reports.


    QUALIFICATIONS
    Minimum of 5 of experience mandatory.
    Bachelors in Metallurgy ideal but not mandatory.
    Experience with Microsoft Office Products, including Word and Excel. With a familiarity with Quality and EDP software is necessary.
    Experience in managing Management/Union Relations is advantageous.
