    Position Summary

    The Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine is seeking a fixed term open rank faculty member to accommodate clinical needs in the Department.

    The position will provide inpatient clinical assessments and treatment plans. Duties will also include teaching/supervising fellows, residents, medical students and other trainees from a variety of disciplines. This position will also work virtually providing psychiatric care to inpatient individuals via our EPIC platform.

    You will work virtually, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the mental well-being and recovery of patients at Jonas Hills Hospital.

    The candidate will maintain accurate and up- to-date electronic medical records (EPIC) and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.


    Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
    Applicants must have an MD or DO, be BC/BE, and be eligible for North Carolina licensure.


    Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

    The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills and experience working with a multi-disciplinary team, including trainees from a variety of disciplines.

    Candidates should have clinical experience working with the severe and persistently mentally ill, and substance using patients.
