    Description


    STV, a nationally recognized leader for delivering value and excellence in engineering, construction management, architecture, planning and environmental services, is seeking an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to join our growing transportation engineering team in one of the following offices: Newark (NJ), Lawrenceville (NJ), Philadelphia (PA), Pittsburgh (PA), Harrisburg (PA), or Douglassville (PA).


    Responsibilities:

    • Perform and/or oversee Traffic Engineering Studies and Designs including:
    • Traffic signal design for NJDOT (PennDOT experience a plus)
    • Transportation engineering and traffic planning studies
    • Traffic simulation analysis using VISSIM and Synchro/SimTraffic software, and operational analysis using HCS
    • Writesand reviews traffic impact studies and analysis reports
    • Workswith multi-disciplinary teams and provide traffic inputs for environmental studies and roadway design elements such as roadway signing, pavement marking, and MPT plans, Design Approval Documents, and/or traffic signal operation analyses
    • Coordinate with DOT and local agencies
    • Assistsin public information meetings
    • Support the preparation of technical proposals, and business development activities

    Requirements:

    • BSCE degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience
    • PE License in NJ, or the ability to obtain a license within 6 months is preferred
    • Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, AutoTurn is desirable
    • Thorough understanding of HCS, VISSIM, Synchro/Sim Traffic software is required
    • Experience related to traffic safety (vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle), roadside/intersection safety, crash data analysis and development of crash countermeasures
    • Successful experience meeting scope, schedules, and budgets on transportation projects/studies
    • Good oral and communication skills
    • Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner
