    About The East Carolina Heart Institute at ECU Health Medical Center

    East Carolina Heart Institute at ECU Health Medical Center is the region's preferred facility for cardiovascular care. The six-story tower houses clinical space, diagnostic services and cardiovascular operating rooms, including a hybrid operating room. It features 120 beds for patients undergoing procedures for cardiac medicine, cardiac surgery and vascular surgery.

    Position Summary

    The Assistant Nurse Manager-OR (ANM-OR) is a professional nurse who demonstrates expertise in utilizing the concepts of participative management. The ANM-OR has the responsibility and authority for assisting in the management of the department.


    Among these responsibilities are:

    coordinating, evaluating improving nursing care and assisting the department leadership in promoting safe, cost effective, quality patient care on a daily basis.

    The ANM-OR works within the framework of ECU Health/ECU Health Medical Center.

    Minimum Requirements

    College Degree (4 yrs) required.

    BSN required.

    NC Registered Nurse required, CNOR preferred, with at least 1 year of progressive leadership experience preferred.

    2 years of recent OR clinical experience with 1 year in OR specialty required

    3 to 5 years of OR clinical experience with 2 years in OR specialty preferred

    Preferred Requirements

    MSN preferred.
