Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Security Guard I - Full Time - Security - Security - Full-Time - Variable Shifts.This role involves patrolling hospital buildings and grounds, holding post on assigned shifts protecting patients, visitors, volunteers employees and property responding to hospital emergencies providing staff support on access control special activities required.
Responsibilities
- Performs other duties assigned.
- Greets patients visitors employees responds inquiries courteous prompt manner identifies self clearly concisely requested provides directions visitors needed refers matters outside scope own duties appropriate personnel keeping patients others informed needed.
- Protect safeguards various hospital properties installations assigned patrols surrounding areas ensure orderliness environment lock open doors secure restricted areas check fire hoses stairwells etc in accordance procedure operates monitors various security systems alarms TV surveillance access control digital recording photo processing CCTV maintains Identification Card system distribution process updating existing employee access levels provides security escorts directed safe corridor parking garages observes visitors investigates reported losses suspicious situations courteous efficient manner escorts unruly unauthorized personnel hospital premises tactful professional manner may require restraining skills subdue violators emotionally disturbed individuals prepares submits incident reports supervisor explains hospital security policies procedures necessary assists departments controlling visitor traffic required maintains package policy established procedure responds fire alarms emergencies using communication systems established procedure unlocks doors directs immediate affected population safe area assists fire brigade personnel timely efficient manner detains law violators represents hospital legal cases necessary testifies complainant related cases prepares legal documents necessary directs traffic guards celebrities official police ceremonies etc assigned drives hospital vehicles stays visible deterrence crime patrols assigned areas facility grounds foot verbally confronts questions unauthorized individuals Hospital grounds responds calls regarding security issues incidents potential incidents notified personnel takes control security incidents potential incidents brings them safe rapid conclusion directs vehicle traffic around maintain safe environment controls during emergency situations allow emergency vehicles enter egress grounds directs employees patients visitors all appropriate areas direct assist patient needs entering exiting facility escorting employees patients visitors parking lot directing waiting areas prevent blocking open hallways identifies correct safety issues communicates Security Manager performs general office recordkeeping tasks daily log incident reports missing property other reports requested Security Manager
