- Managing attorney calendars, dockets, and appointments
- Coordinating frequent and complex travel arrangements
- Handling electronic court filings in both state and federal jurisdictions
- Handling filings with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
- Screening and responding to client communications
- Drafting and preparing emails, reports, and confidential documents
- Maintaining client files in NetDocs and physical formats
- Supporting Attorneys' billing processes
- Providing backup support to fellow legal assistants
- Performing additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of working experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in state and federal e-filing procedures and trial preparation
- Experience with USPTO electronic filing systems (EFS‑Web or Patent Center)
- Knowledge of patent and trademark docketing workflows and deadlines
- Experience working with docketing software (e.g., CPI, Foundation IP, Anaqua)
- Ability to manage high-volume workloads with accuracy
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Howard & Howard is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our Las Vegas, NV office. This full-time position offers a dynamic opportunity to support attorneys and paralegals across all stages of litigation matters, with emphasis in intellectual property litigation, commercial and business litigation. We're looking for a candidate who brings professionalism, discretion, and strong organizational skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across all levels of the firm.
