    Description

    Summary:
    Manage commercial cleaning services for a portion of the business. This typically includes multiple facilities, teams of cleaning employees and customer points of contact.

    Duties include management of employees, service quality, labor efficiency, customer relations, special service sales and internal policy / procedure compliance.

    Must be willing and able to work and be responsive during evening and possibly weekend hours. Must be willing and able to clean and cover absences as needed.

    Schedule:
    Monday- Friday 1pm-9pm

    Requirements

    • Bilingual, English/Spanish Fluency (Required)
    -2 years of supervisory or management experience required. Prefer management experience in the commercial cleaning industry. Outstanding communications, organizational and technology skills are a must.

    • Must be able to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Report (Company vehicle is provided)

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Operations Management

    Manage all aspects of commercial cleaning service operations for an assigned portion of the GSF business that includes multiple facilities spread out over a geographic area.

    Ensure the efficient use of contract and special services labor hours, supplies and equipment to contribute to overall profit and loss objectives.

    Manage, assess, document and improve the work performance and skills of subordinate supervisors and hourly cleaners. Assist with developing and training them for positions of greater responsibility. Identify outstanding performers and mentor them. Ensure supervisors are doing the same for cleaning staff.
    Drive and assist with the continual improvement of cleaning work design, flow, methods, and staffing. Research and stay abreast of emerging technologies, methods, equipment, and chemicals. Improve workforce efficiency and manage the reduction of overtime work hours.
    Conduct positive and constructive communications with and between cleaning staff, supervisors, administrative staff and customers.
    Customer Relations & Sales Support
    Improve work relationships with customer points of contact to maximize retention of assigned accounts and revenue. Frequently communicate with and seek constructive feedback from customers. Assess feedback, forward to senior management as necessary and make recommendations on operational improvements.
    Aggressively conduct sales of one-time commercial cleaning services to existing contracted customers and prospective customers in close proximity.

    Assist sales staff or senior managers with assessment of existing or prospective facilities in support of new and contract renewal sales activities.

    Ensure adherence to all internal Safety, HR, Payroll, Purchasing and other administrative processes, procedures, policies and deadlines.
    Manage or participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

    Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Ability to analyze and interpret technical journals, financial reports and legal documents
    Ability to convey information in a manner that is easily understood
    Ability to assimilate complex information
    Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
    Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables
    Ability to take direction and produce/perform desired outcomes
    Ability to move between multiple locations by vehicle
    Ability to meet company vehicle driver/insurance requirements
    Skill in operating computer hardware and software such as Microsoft Office
    Skill in leading and developing others
    Knowledge of legal requirements applicable to the business
    Knowledge of strategic planning processes and their application
    Education/Certification Requirements: 2 years of supervisory experience required. Additional experience may substitute for the educational requirement. Outstanding technology and communication skills are a must. Must be able and willing to conduct the cleaning.
