Automotive Service Technician

role, you will play a crucial role in terms of the customer experience in conducting diagnostic procedures to determine vehicle maintenance requirements and providing accurate repair recommendations to our customers

Job Responsibilities:

Performing vehicle repairs and/or maintenance work as outlined on RO with efficiency and accuracy, performing all duties in accordance with dealership and OEM standardsCommunicating with Parts and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production/repairs, cycle times and customer communicationConducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations for repairs while ensuring the safety and reliability of any vehicle that has been repaired prior to them being returned to the customerDocument all work performed on the vehicle RO by creating a story in the on the associated repair order, in a manner consistent with OEM standards, ensuring payment of warranty work is provided by the manufacturerMaintain an inventory of common automotive technician's tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as a "store-provided" piece of equipmentKeep abreast of factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training classes as requiredKeep work area and bay free of debris and tidy to ensure a safe, compliant work environmentProviding an exceptional repair experience to drive customer loyalty and department revenueProvide feedback on communication and flow of work to Service Manager when issues ariseMentor junior technicians when needed to provide support to the team as a wholeRequirements:Must be 18 years of age or older to met requirements to work in the Service CenterMust posses a valid US-issued Driver's LicenseMust demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background check and MVRASE or OEM Certification would be considered an asset, but is not requiredAbility to safely drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles for test drivesTool inventory to perform the jobs typically assigned to Master or Diagnostic Line TechniciansCapable of operating shop equipment (lifts, racks, etc), diagnostic, and hand tools to complete repairsCompletion of a related post-secondary program, training courses or equivalent work experienceProfessional demeanor and strong work ethic, which includes a high level of integrity and strong moral compassExcellent written and verbal communication skills, as creating stories for repairs is a required part of the positionAttention to detail in all aspects of work, with the ability to work as a team or individuallyWe are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment withoutregard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protectedveteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristicprotected by federal, state or local laws.
