Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Forklift Operator / Order Desk Specialist to support both our warehouse operations and customer order processing.
This hybrid role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a warehouse environment while also providing excellent customer service and administrative support related to orders, shipping, and inventory coordination.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused, organized, and able to shift between physical and desk-based tasks throughout the workday.
Responsibilities
Warehouse & Forklift Operations
Operate a forklift safely and in compliance with all safety regulations
Load, unload, pick, and stack materials accurately
Use pallet jacks and hand-held scanners to complete job tasks
Lift up to 40 lbs. throughout the shift safely
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all warehouse processes and procedures
Report safety concerns or incidents to a supervisor
Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned
Order Desk & Customer Support
Receive and process customer orders, inquiries, price quotes, and order changes via phone, email, and in person
Answer customer questions regarding products, pricing, delivery timelines, warranties, and payment terms
Prepare sales orders, price quotations, and return authorizations (RMAs)
Coordinate with Warehouse/Logistics to ensure timely order fulfillment and shipment accuracy
Work closely with Sales Representatives and internal departments to carry orders through completion
Assist with setting up new customer accounts in coordination with Accounting/Credit
Maintain accurate documentation and order records
Provide courteous, professional customer service at all times
Perform additional administrative or reporting duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree or related coursework preferred, or equivalent work experience
Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
Previous warehouse, forklift, logistics, or order processing experience preferred
Customer service experience (2+ years preferred)
Ability to perform basic math and problem-solving tasks
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Computer proficiency required, including:
Microsoft Office (Excel emphasis)
Accounting or order management software (QuickBooks preferred)
Ability to type at least 35 WPM
Ability to sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
