    Lacks Enterprises is a locally owned and privately held business with roots in West Michigan for over 50 years. With over 20 facilities and 2500 people, we continue to grow. We are currently hiring for 2nd shift.

    We are looking for quality team members in multiple fast-growing manufacturing facilities in the Kentwood area. We're looking for not only experienced workers, but people willing to learn and grow with the process.


    JOB SCOPE AND SUMMARY: The Quality Auditor works to assure the quality of finished parts by performing prescribed audits and product tests at established intervals, maintaining the required records.


    WORK TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Audits parts per established procedures at prescribed intervals; marks audited finished parts.

    2. Maintains a log of problems for use by next shift. Entries into log are to be strictly part/job related.

    3. Gauges parts per established procedures as required.

    4. Assists in the training of floor people on acceptable quality standards. Monitors parts set aside for acceptance.

    5. Audits received materials for prescribed quality levels; gauges parts as required.

    6. Records all test results as appropriate.

    7. Organizes and retains samples of all parts received.

    8. Assists in coordinating problem solving activities relating to product failures.

    9. Gathers Statistical Process Control (S.P.C.) data as required.

    10. Maintains prescribed paperwork such as: In-process forms, Final audit forms and Disposition tags.

    11. Informs appropriate supervisor and/or lead person of quality problems.

    12. Works with Quality Assurance (Q.A.) Manager/Supervisor and other appropriate personnel to set and maintain quality standards.

    13. Approves first piece for each production run.

    14. Maintains data electronically for all bluetags/SPC.

    15. Gathers and sends lab samples as required by control plans.

    16. Receives all components direct and does receiving audits. Performs receiving audits on outsourced product and non-approved suppliers.

    17. Maintains good housekeeping in work area.

    18. Performs other tasks assigned by designated supervisor

    2. Basic computer knowledge.
    3. High school education or equivalent preferred.
    4. Three years of experience in a similar industrial environment preferred.
