    Schedule:

    Full Time, 35 hours/week, Temporary, 5 months, approximately three days working onsiteThe Rental Events Operations Manager delivers and executes all rental events, ensuring logistical requirements are met on time.

    The position will oversee event timelines and floor plans, as well as effectively communicating expectations with clients, vendors, internal departments, and staff ensuring a successful event.

    Strong leadership skills needed in managing a direct report and a team of On-Call Event Specialists.

    The Rental Events Operations Manager will work closely with the Rental Events Sales Manager and Associate Director of Rental Events, handing all operational and logistical processes.

    A strong understanding of cross department relationships is key. Responsibilities & DutiesCommunicate effectively across departments, at all levels, within the museum.

    Project management for all stakeholders, especially clients, managing floorplans, timelines, and adhering to all rules & regulations of the museum.

    Providing excellent customer service, streamlining requests and needs across museum operations, using creative problem-solving skills and understanding system resources available, such as Asana, Artifax, etc.

    Provides on-site support, direction, and management of events, delivering a successful and seamless event experience for internal and external customers.

    Leading vendor site tours within the museum, acting as a liaison between museum, client, and event planner. Excellent verbal communication on rules and regulations, managing expectations.

    Maintains budget tracking on internal expenses for rental events, providing insight, and effective management of operational costs, reporting these margins to Associate Director of Rental Events.

    Supervises Coordinator, understanding development needs, budgeting, and reviewing performance. Overseeing and supporting the management of Artifax system. Supervises, manages, and maintains on-call Event Specialist group. Responsible for hiring, training, budgeting, and approving timecards. Collaborates with Rental Events Sales Manager and Associate Director of Rental Events, strategically managing operations to maximize revenue.

    Participates and leads Bi-Weekly operations and Artifax meetings, ensuring all invested departments are maintained and informed of rental event programs.

    Performs duties as assigned, supporting the Enterprise Events team as a whole. Qualifications & SkillsCollege Degree or equivalent experience required. Minimum of three (3) years experience in event management or operational role. Proven skills to project manage multiple tasks and complex events from creation to completion. Excellent time management skills, meeting deadlines and completing all detail tasks. Strong leadership ability, interpersonal and relationship building skills.

    Ability to supervise, direct and develop a variety of staff members, as well as vendors, in the production of events.

    Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as appropriate for the business Strong leadership skills, able to act independently.

    Working ConditionsIn office and on the museum floor environment. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends. Able to lift up to 30 pounds. $65,302 - $77,979 a yearThe range provided above is the base annual salary range for this position.
