    KEPPEL UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT

    BUS DRIVER

    DEFINITION
    Under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance and Operations, to operate a school bus over

    designated routes within an established time schedule; to transport students to and from school and on field trips and/or special events; to perform daily inspections of a bus and transportation equipment, and prepare reports concerning maintenance needs; and to do other related work as required.



    Requirements / Qualifications


    Experience:
    ~Two (2) years experience driving any motor vehicle;
    ~One year of experience in the transport of school children;
    ~Completion of a school bus driver training program


    Education:
    ~High school diploma or equivalent


    License and Certificate Requirements:
    ~Possession of a valid Class A or B, California Driver License with appropriate endorsements;
    ~Possession of a California School Bus Driver's Certificate;
    ~Standard First Aid Certificate;
    ~Applicants must have held a valid driver's license for the past two consecutive years, to date, with no chargeable accidents within that time;
    ~Any moving traffic citation during the past ten years will be evaluated and may be considered disqualifying;
    ~Must pass State Skills Test and State Written Test
    ~Must meet minimum physical requirements as prescribed by the California Department of Motor Vehicles


    Insurance Requirements:
    ~Must be able to be insured and continue to be insurable by the District's liability insurance carrier.


    Comments and Other Information

    Written test is required and testing dates will be determined at the conclusion of the recruitment period. Keppel Union School District will notify qualified candidates of testing date.
